This sculpture is my idea of a cube creation.
The result of my work is a symmetrical figure that suggests order and harmony, in addition, as there is an obvious interior space, it makes us feel a limited freedom because of the walls. Although it may seem that volume is being dealt with in this sculpture, what we are really doing is creating a false feeling of space with the different faces. We could say that it leans more towards being a closed figure than an open one and it is this uncertainty that makes us feel a feeling of impotence at not being able to name it with complete certainty. I was inspired by Jorge Oteiza and his collection where he plays with the faces of a cube.
